At the corner of Tamarack and Carlsbad Boulevard, which is Pacific Coast Highway through there. On the northeast corner. Great view across the street for a sunset.
Was awesome. The food was great. This is what we had:- Caprese - this was really good and tasty, however, very steep with the price for what you get. 17+ dollars for 3 sliced tomatoes and one buffalo mozzarella ball. Should be no more than 10-13 dollars.- spaghetti alle vongole - this was really good as well, the clams were fresh and it was nicely done.- Eggplant Parmesan - this one was perfectly priced at 23 dollars for what you get and the food was made real well. You get a side of grilled veggies and a side of spaghetti. - the only thing with the eggplant parmesan is that it gets a little dry .. I would ask for a side pasta sauce to add to it. Oh and we got the Chardonnay Vigilucci's which was perfect.
Great location (we sat outside which was lovely), good job of masks/social distancing, but the prices are a tad high. Might be due to covid.
The chicken Marsala was delicious. The service was outstanding
The food was great. That's about the only positive thing about this place. It's extremely overpriced, and the atmosphere does not justify it being that way. The service was mediocre at best. It's also a terrible location to have a supposedly "high class" restaurant.
We've tried many Italian restaurants in San Diego and this is (by far) the BEST...now we only come here! Besides the best Italian, Jim makes the BEST martinis!!!
Food tasted great. Portions were not too big.
Excelente service nice atmosphere ,but expected the food to be outstanding for the prices. I would return again though. In all fairness sometimes you don't order the best of the best.
We always desire authentic Italian- they deliver. You will hear as much Italian spoken by the staff as you do English and the food reflects their Milanese heritage. A must place to eat.
They were really having issues today quite a few customers were complaining about the food that they ordered and what the food that they got. At our table we ordered egg Benedict with polenta it came with potatoes had to send it back it was good. The other party ordered a egg omelette without mushrooms and the egg omelet came with mushrooms had to send it back really had an issue in the kitchen service was good.
Ate twice here during a legoland trip. Excellent food and service. High quality. Good for kids too (there’s a kid menu). Pasta and steaks are great.
Amazing food and service always!! Love the view!!
Dinner with friends. Very good service. Our waiter was very helpful. Food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. This is our second visit to Carlsbad and our second to Vigilucci's. It won't be our last.
Excellent food and the wait staff was awesome.
First time here, came from LA. Loved this place, very relaxing location and delicious food. Customer service was amazing. Thank you guys. I will come back forsure.
Took a friend for a birthday dinner here tonite, and although I've visited other locations, had never been to this one. The food was good, and we sat outside, which was nice but our waiter was really sub-par, which made the experience less than wonderful. I ordered a dish which I asked to be with gluten-free pasta, and it wasn't when it came, we had to get our silverware and napkins from another table because he never got us any, he never refilled my water glass, or asked if I wanted another glass of wine, and was just plain strange acting. Because of this, I'll probably eat at one of the other Vigilucci's in the future.
Very good food.We ate there as a large family group. We were in town for a memorial service.
Food was great and service even better!
The best...always a treat....
Food service atmosphere great
I absolutely love this place for its family ambiance. On weekends, there’s live music outside patio which makes for a great afternoon. Wine selection is ample and appetizers are always good. Service is superb and our family had gotten to know several of the servers on a first-name basis. My 11-yr Old is in love with their steak kabob. I usually order their fish special of the day and it is always fantastic. My son and husband, however, say their dishes leave them hungry...usually ordering one of their yummy desserts fills the void. But to not undermine their view, they seem to feel that their dishes are not filling. Management has always been accommodating to our large group often showing up without a reservation. Other times they’ve gone out of their way to find a discontinued wine bottle for us. For this reason, we will continue to be patrons for years to come. Thank you Vigilucci’s for helping establish family traditions!
Really liked the seafood ravioli with the cream sauce.
It’s definitely a nice place to dine in and have a nice view of street. Ordered Ravioli Spinach and it was fabulous. Everything is in right amounts and tasted brilliant.
Tasty food and great customer service!
Exceptional food. Exceptional service. A wonderful birthday celebration!
We checked out their Seafood restaurant on the Ocean and found out the Cucina restaurant was more of a pasta restaurant. All we can say that the food, wine and service were first class. I think they have the best Italian wine list in So Cal. We topped it off with great deserts and Vinsanto. Would recommend Vigilucci’s Cucina to everyone.
Excellent Italian food and service. The atmosphere is great, with the manager/owner actively engaging the customers. The staff maintained all the current health precautions, including actually being seated at least six feet away from others.
Amazing! Miguel took great care of us!💗
Nice place in the center of the village. The terrace area is nice if you don't mind people staring at your plate when they pass by on the sidewalk. The food is good, good size portions on the pricey side a little bit. The service is cordial but slow.
Fantastic food, super friendly staff members, regularly good ambience. They charge reasonable prices and the food quality is very good. Highly recommended.
Seafood ravioli is delicious!! And huge size calamari appetizer! The Alfredo dish with shrimp was also very good! Can't go wrong with either!
The pasta was fresh, but a bit too thick and heavy for my taste. They could also have been a little more generous with the Alfredo sauce.
Great meal with great service. I had the spaghetti with clams, traditionally it is linguine but they use spaghetti, no issues there, it was still great. My wife had the risotto, also amazing. Great place, will go back again when in town, especially liked the patio area.
The atmosphere was nice, we liked the patio seating. The food was VERY over priced for the quality. Our server wasn’t the greatest and the food was delivered at different times so everyone who has pasta had to eat cold pasta because they were waiting for the rest of us to get our food. The cauliflower potatoes are great (when they’re served warm) my potatoes were cold. I also got the lemon sauce for the chicken on the side and it was very good. The veggies come wrapped up in a zucchini and includes carrots, zucchini, and green beans.
Absolutely fantastic experience, just celebrated my wife's birthday here and every detail was perfect. Excellent food, convivial sidewalk seating with heat lamps, gracious and friendly server (Theo). We will definitely return next time we're in Carlsbad. Grazie!
Good food, but pricey.
Everything was more than what I expected. From the moment I went in and met Simone, I felt I was at home, the right place, very good food, good service. Thank you very much for everything. Yours Luciano.
Food was really yummy ! Theo was our server for the night & did an amazing job, the Busser was also super attentive ! Had a great time celebrating my sisters birthday dinner .
Thank you! The Lasagna was delicioso!
We were invited to get something casual out back, weren't as we weren't dressed to eat out front. We waited 2 hours, checking every half hour if we should come another time. "No, please wait for chef" was the answer. Weird, but we waited. Being local, you hate to offend. After 2 hours, the owner comes back with his muscle. Because 2 disabled ladies are so dangerous to lasagna. He tells us to leave. We get up, explain that we had been both invited and encouraged to stay. He brushes this off. Doesn't introduce himself, won't look us on the eye.Good manners are free. We can get overpriced lasagna anywhere. This man overrates his own importance. It's not splitting the atom, it's spaghetti. Good spaghetti, but still...That said, the rest of the wait and kitchen staff are friendly and kind.Everyone was made so uncomfortable by this man's lack of kindness and respect for all concerned. Poorly done.
Menu changes have caused a few of our favorite salads and entrees to not be available anymore but the food and service were great. Thank you Viviana for the excellent, friendly service!
Great place and classy atmosphere, but not really genuine tasting Italian food for someone who has actually lived in Italy for years. But for the typical American style Italian food, they're pretty good.
Last night we had a party 6. We were seated outside which was fine however it was very difficult for the wait staff to attend to us as the room around our table was limited. First of all because of a large party they had no wine glasses. We waited at least 30 minutes to get a drink. We finally got served but one in our group had to wait another 10-15 minutes to get her glass. We asked for another basket of bread but they would have to charge us $5 extra for that!! Really!! My veal parmesan (which was highly recommended by our waiter) was too tough to eat and for a price of over $36 it should have been great. The halibut was dry and tasteless. The vegetable side dishes were beautiful but undercooked, very tough and almost inedible. Overpriced and underwhelmed!
For me just ok, but not for $$$. I ended up getting sick in the middle of night! 🤢
Our meal and service was phenomenal!!
Atmosphere- Great, including plenty of patio seating. Service- Phenomenal, always had someone filling a glass or offering something. Food- Was rather disappointed. I can understand portions being smaller for higher quality meals, but this didn't make the cut. I had visited the Tamarack location before, which I was definitely pleased with. Likely wont be back to this location.
Lovely quaint atmosphere. The lasagna was extremely delicious. Our first time here and we loved every moment. The wine we tried was recommended by the manager and was excellent. Our waitress was excellent...we even got a special dessert on the 🏠 just because....so yummy...
I had a great dinner with my friends after a long day at work. The Service was very good and food with good Portions and quality .
Incredible experience. Very knowledgeable and entertaining staff. Great food and large wine selection.
Finally I could find a delicious Italian restaurant in San Diego. We ordered the fried calamari and marinara sauce, carbonara, and fettuccine alfredo. All fabulous. Was very impressed by the quality of the pasta. It had a very distinctive flavor that I can only assume is made in house. Fresh pasta is something you can't fake or hide. If you want a great meal...I highly recommend Vigilucci's. BTW...I usually pass on desert but the tiramisu was also amazing. Never had better.
Extremely great food and service. A wow factor for sure
